Groningen Environmental Service

en faseert legacy-systemen gecontroleerd uit

Casestudy overzicht

We are extracting closed cases from the old VTH application* and preparing them for archiving so that they can be transferred securely to Control.

With a phased approach, we can thoroughly centralise the information flows at Groningen Environmental Services.

Casestudy details

Lack of overview

Missing or incorrect metadata makes searches unnecessarily difficult.

Difficulty finding the right documents

Missing or incorrect metadata makes searches unnecessarily difficult.

Search, find and display on location

In the VTH application*, the context can also be found on location and the location is visible on a map.

Fragmented data

Sources contain multiple, unordered documents in different file formats.

Archive management requirements

Comply with retention periods, destruction and compliance.

Hoe wij helpen

Through smart delivery from the (legacy) source, the data is restructured and enriched in MY-LEX Control. A phased approach (per source) allows room to incorporate the wishes of OD Groningen during the course of the project. The second source is currently being made archive-ready.

Het resultaat

Archive-worthy data that is securely transferred to Control. With correct metadata, including links to documents and the ability to search and refine by environmental location.

With MY-LEX Control, end users retain future-proof access to the relevant data, while OD Groningen can confidently say goodbye to the outdated VTH systems*. Closed cases remain permanently accessible and can be viewed more quickly, improving file management.

*A VTH application is a software programme that supports government bodies in the tasks of Licensing, Supervision and Enforcement, with the aim of guaranteeing a safe, healthy and liveable environment.
