Groningen Environmental Service

Groningen Environmental Service phases out sources with Control

Case Study Overview

We are extracting closed cases from the old VTH application* and preparing them for archiving so that they can be transferred securely to Control.

With a phased approach, we can thoroughly centralise the information flows at Groningen Environmental Services.

Case Study Details

What is happening at OD Groningen?

Lack of overview

Outdated software for permits, supervision and enforcement.

Difficulty finding the right documents

Missing or incorrect metadata makes searches unnecessarily difficult.

Search, find and display on location

In the VTH application*, the context can also be found on location and the location is visible on a map.

Fragmented data

Sources contain multiple, unordered documents in different file formats.

Archive management requirements

Comply with retention periods, destruction and compliance.

End-user requirements

Faster insight and future-proof data management.

How We Help

Through smart delivery from the (legacy) source, the data is restructured and enriched in MY-LEX Control. A phased approach (per source) allows room to incorporate the wishes of OD Groningen during the course of the project. The second source is currently being made archive-ready.

The Result

Archive-worthy data that is securely transferred to Control. With correct metadata, including links to documents and the ability to search and refine by environmental location.

WithMY-LEX Control, end users retain future-proof access to the relevant data, while OD Groningen can confidently say goodbye to the outdated VTH systems*.Closed cases remain permanently accessible and can be viewed more quickly, improving file management.
